OUR PROCESS

Define project scope

We work with companies to help them define their objectives and problems they are trying to solve. It is important to us that the research is additive to prior research and we want to ensure the results will be helpful and useful for years to come.

We work with a network of recruiters to define and bring in the best participants for the project. When needed, we have access to other researchers to work on larger projects and those that require quantitative methodologies.

Conduct research

User research is all about people. Abakey Insights thrives on making deep connections with end-users through various qualitative methodologies. We have a passion for moderating and helping people open up so we can move beyond what they are doing to the why behind it.

We welcome and always encourage client participation in brainstorms, interviews, and synthesis. It is always best to hear from end-users first hand and we love the company.

Synthesize and present findings

We know your time is precious, so we create a succinct summary of findings with clear themes,  recommendations, and actionable next steps. We are happy to conduct synthesis brainstorms as part of the deliverable along with the final presentation so teams can be part of the process.

The act of self-soothing. It’s a word my dad made up and has used as long as I can remember. He created it to explain self-soothing techniques humans do, especially babies, like sucking two fingers, tugging on an ear or rubbing feet together before bed. A major part of being a user researcher is observing these types of human behaviors and the way people interact in the world.

Our clients say nice things

Danielle is an incredibly talented researcher and simply a joy to work with. She is empathetic, objective, and measured in her approach. We worked together on numerous projects at Square, and Danielle was always able to uncover our customer’s deep unmet needs, and articulate those findings back to me and my team in a way that resonated and inspired action. I will find a way to work with her again in the future, she is a rare gem.
— Mike Cieri - General Manager, Square Services
With the rise of UX researcher roles, it’s rare to find moderators that can connect with their participants like Danielle. Equally impressive are her project management skills. Passionate and ever present in every project she has worked on, I can’t name anyone who has not enjoyed working with Danielle. If you want someone to challenge you and keep you honest, she’s your person.
— Kat Lee, Insights Lead, Square
Danielle is one of the best customer research experts I’ve ever worked with. Danielle led many of our research projects for Square Capital that helped to shape the product experience. She is highly skilled at taking a lot of distinct information and distilling it into key customer insights. Danielle is also great at taking a nebulous project and identifying the main goals we should be trying to accomplish through our research. She is truly a champion of the voice of the customer.
— Ed Lin, Product Marketing Lead, Square Capital
Danielle is a talented researcher with a gift for connecting with those around her. In the field, she combines the ability to see the big picture with careful attention to detail. Her genuinely joyful spirit and generosity with her energy and time made her a beloved colleague at LUNAR. You can rely on Danielle to give 100% to everything she does. She made me look forward to coming to work every day.
